This painting reflects on my childhood in Kentucky, looking out the window as miles of corn and tabacco fields rolled by. The title mourns the loss of boredom in a world of constant stimulation and entertainment.
This work is inspired by Mid-Century Modern corner windows and architectural layouts, wrapping a 90 degree corner to create a seamless and transitional flow from one space into the next.
